The Grand Palace complex in Bangkok is so lavishly ornate and excessive that sometimes it’s hard to concentrate one’s gaze on anything. Wherever you look there are colourful tiles, gilded spires, multi-tiered roofs, statues of warriors and Buddha, delicate mural paintings…
There are also lots of visitors. And I mean lots, which only adds to the sensory overload. The only sensible options seem to be including people creatively in your photos or excluding them altogether, by focusing on specific details.
